A LETTER FROM NEXUS GAMES/UNA LETTERA DA NEXUS GAMES

Dear War of the Ring fan,

we just received news from the factory producing the WAR OF THE RING COLLECTOR'S EDITION that the manufacturing is late on schedule, due to a combination of unexpected difficulties.
This delay means that, in spite of our best efforts, it will not be possible to send the copies of the first wave of 1000 games earlier than late january-early february 2010 (we will soon announce the release date of the second wave of 1000 copies).

Nexus Games was working to produce this game on a schedule which would allow our customers who made the early pre-orders to receive their copy of the game around mid-december.
For this reason, we were confident enough to announce, 6 weeks ago, that the first wave of production would release before Christmas.

I want to make it clear that our partners at Fantasy Flight Games and Phalanx Games provided us promptly with their language-related production material, and that there is not any fault which may be accrued to them. It's the delay in the production of the other items - such as the figures - for which we at Nexus Games have a direct responsibility, that means that the worldwide release will postponed.

The WAR OF THE RING COLLECTOR'S EDITION is a very complex project, and unfortunately a quality problem, even if affecting only a few components, can not be fixed in a rush, without impairing the value of the item you ordered.
I hope that you will agree with us than it's better to spend one month more in production and do everything right, rather than risk to ruin everything in a final rush.

This delay is of course very bad news for us as well as it is for you. There will be no Collector's Edition under your and our Christmas Tree.
However, the COLLECTOR'S EDITION will be here in in early 2010, and I hope that you will be patient enough to wait a few more weeks than expected..

This game has been a labor of love for us to manufacture, and we really hope you will be with us waiting for the release.
We are taking advantage of these additional weeks ahead of us to prepare a small present for our customers who will stay with us.

With this letter, I also wish to present you with my personal apology. Even if the problems were outside of our control to prevent, I still feel I am personally responsible for the decision to announce the release before Christmas of the game and then failing to achieve this goal. Whatever your decision, to keep your order or cancel it, thank you for trusting us, and we will continue to work to make sure that your trust will not be disappointed.

Caro appassionato di War of the Ring,

abbiamo appena ricevuto la notizia dalla fabbrica che sta producendo WAR OF THE RING COLLECTOR'S EDITION di un ritardo nel processo di lavorazione, dovuto a una combinazione di problemi inattesi.
Questo ritardo vuol dire purtroppo, al di là di ogni nostro miglior sforzo, che non sarà possibile spedire la prima mandata di 1000 copie prima della fine di gennaio-prima metà di febbraio 2010 (annunceremo presto la data di uscita della seconda mandata di 1000 copie).

Nexus Games ha lavorato duramente per produrre questo gioco con una tempistica che consentisse ai nostri clienti di fare dei pre-ordini e poter ricevere la propria copia del gioco per metà dicembre.
Per questa ragione, eravamo ragionevolmente sicuri di annunciare, 6 settimane fa, che la prima mandata di produzione sarebbe stata disponibile prima di Natale.

Voglio che sia chiaro che i nostri partner Fantasy Flight Games e Phalanx Games ci hanno consegnato prontamente il materiale di produzione in lingua, e che nessuna colpa è loro attribuibile.
E' un ritardo dovuto alla produzione di altri componenti, come per esempio le miniature, di cui è direttamente responsabile Nexus Games, il che comporta che l'intera uscita mondiale sarà posticipata.

WAR OF THE RING COLLECTOR'S EDITION è un progetto molto complesso, e sfortunatamente un problema di qualità, anche se coinvolge pochi componenti, non può essere corretto al volo, senza invalidare il valore dell'oggetto che avete prenotato.
Spero che sarete d'accordo con noi che sia meglio impiegare un mese in più per la produzione e farlo bene, piuttosto che rischiare di rovinare tutto per fare le cose di corsa.

Questo ritardo è ovviamente una cattiva notizia per noi come per voi. Non ci sarà nessuna Collector's Edition sotto il vostro e il nostro Albero di Natale.
Comunque, la COLLECTOR'S EDITION sarà qui per l'inizio del 2010, e spero che sarete così pazienti da attendere poche settimane in più rispetto a quanto vi aspettavate.

Questo gioco è stato un progetto portato avanti con amore per noi che lo abbiamo prodotto, e speriamo vivamente che attenderete con noi la sua uscita.
Ci avvanteggeremo di queste settimane in più davanti a noi per preparare un piccolo omaggio per i nostri clienti che "resteranno" con noi.

Con questa lettera, desidero anche porgervi le mie personali scuse.
Anche se i problemi sono stati fuori dal mio controllo per poterli prevenire, mi sento ugualmente responsabile per la decisione di annunciare che il gioco sarebbe uscito prima di Natale e per aver fallito nel tentativo di riuscirci.
A prescindere di quale sia la vostra decisione, mantenere l'ordine o cancellarlo, voglio ringraziarvi per la fiducia che avete avuto in noi, e continueremo a lavorare per fare in modo che la vostra fiducia non sia disattesa.
