HEROES OF THE OLD WEST
 The Western series of Atlantic reissues will include 2 new sets in september: Buffalo Bill and Kit Carson. These sets originally appeared in Atlantic's "Heroes of the West" (Eroi del West) series together with the "Davy Crockett" set. With their release, all the sets which originally appeared in this series have now been re-issued by Nexus.
Buffalo Bill will be released in a box including 3 sprues, for a total of 54 pieces. The famed buffalo hunter is shown in several poses (mounting a horse, firing while kneeling, firing while standing, resting) and the set includes of course a suitable complement of buffalos. The cover artwork is a painting by US artist Charles M. Russel, famed for his renditions of Old West life.
Kit Carson is an exciting set, which shows the hero while engaged in an exploration mission in a territory where hostile natives live. Each sprue includes a raft with 4 white scouts/hunters/explorers which face the assault of a band of american natives armed with bows and spears. It is perfect as a playset or for diorama construction, as well as for replenishing the ranks of an army of native warriors. Three sprues will be included in each box, with a total of 63 pieces.
The cover art, like in the Buffalo Bill set, is a painting by Charles M. Russell.
These new releases will be available in late september, and will bring the Nexus/Atlantic catalog to a total of 12 sets.
